This Earth Day, it’s a time for reflection on our environmental impact and the actions we have taken to help mitigate that impact. Find out more below about what we’ve been doing to help our planet thrive.

While this should always be at the forefront of our minds as individuals and as a company, Earth Day gives us a chance to reaffirm our commitment to protecting the planet and reducing any potential harm our operations could have on our shared home in this vast universe.
At Play’n GO, our dedication to eco-friendly practices and sustainability is ingrained in every aspect of our operations, from how we conduct business to the innovative solutions we deploy to mitigate any negative influence on the environment from our entire company wherever possible.
Play’n GO’s Corporate Social Responsibilities:
How they align with Earth Day 2024
At the heart of our environmental consciousness is a promise – a promise to our planet, our clients, and ourselves to not only reduce our carbon footprint but to also inspire change within our industry.
Here are some of the ways in which we’re turning our green vision into reality:
Measuring our carbon footprint
We have begun measuring our carbon footprint across the following areas; purchased electricity, employee commuting, business travel and outsourced data centres in alignment with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
Carbon offsets and permanent carbon removal
Our dedication to making a real difference is highlighted by our investment in certified carbon offset projects, where a minimum of 90% of our contributions directly fund environmental initiatives. This commitment ensures that our efforts to offset emissions are both meaningful and impactful. Additionally, we have recently added permanent removal of carbon through 'Climeworks' to our impact portfolio.

‘Digital First’ innovation
Our Digital First strategy is not just about embracing technology and remote working to benefit us as a company – it’s about leveraging it for the good of the planet, too. This innovative approach has contributed to a year-on-year reduction of indirect emissions (scope 2) by 20% and has put us on the path to reaching net-zero indirect emissions (scope 2), showcasing our ability to exceed our sustainability goals.
Cloud infrastructure and efficiency
By having committed to cloud infrastructure, we’ve significantly reduced our carbon output. This commitment not only enhances our operational efficiency but also lowers our environmental impact in one of the key emission areas for our industry.
The Race to Net Zero
Echoing the urgency of the global ‘Race to Net Zero’ campaign, we understand that achieving net-zero emissions is not a solo endeavour but a collective race that requires the participation of all industries. Inspired by initiatives like Formula 1’s commitment to net-zero by 2030, we’re motivated to cross the finish line together, emphasizing the power of unity in addressing climate change.
