- Queen’s Day Tilt, another Historic Release from Play’n GO!
14th April, 2019 - Play’n GO have today released their latest slot title, Queen’s Day Tilt. Based on the Accession Day Tilts started under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, the game is based around the fun and festivities that took place during the celebration. Play’n GO have again paid particular detail to historical accuracy, providing an extra edge to the game and its design. The game is the first 3x3 grid slot from Play’n GO, a modern update of a classic slot game design, allowing for “larger symbols and easier visibility” while increasing the chances of clearing the grid, creating a lot more action for the players. Using the 3x3 slot format also has the effect of boosting entertaining gameplay and features, including a “powerful re-spin” called Accession Day which features only the high paying Knight symbols. This release comes just a week after they were presented with Slot Provider of the Year at the International Gaming Awards and Queen’s Day Tilt looks to be another title to add to their reputation as the suppliers of choice in the industry. Play’n GO CEO Johan Törnqvist believes the company are flying high right now and will continue to do so: “The win at the IGA’s were a great accolade for us to pick up, our second award of the year and we’re only in February! This coupled with a very successful showing at ICE this year has put us into a positive position very early in the year, and we will capitalise on that and continue releasing amazing games, such as Queen’s Day Tilt.”
- Play’n GO Show Certified Excellence!
Play’n GO are consolidating their reputation as the supplier of choice for regulated markets, as they announce their most recent certifications and their plans for new markets. Already offering content in over 15 regulated jurisdictions globally, this year has seen them move into Sweden, and prepare to enter Portugal, two growing markets in the industry. While Portugal saw record growth in its land-based casino sector in 2018; Sweden’s new regulations have opened up the casino market and Play’n GO were one of the first to take advantage of the new regulations, signing landmark deals with prominent Swedish partners including ATG and Svenska Spel. The biggest boost to their reputation is the fact they have chosen to make their entire portfolio compliant in the regions they operate in. Rather than selecting some games for each jurisdiction, as is the current norm, Play’n GO have made sure that any operators they partner with have as much of their innovative portfolio available to them as possible. This gives their operators more freedom of choice and a higher quality selection of games for their players. New certifications that they have implemented include the addition of in-game progressive jackpots in Italy; the offering of video bingo, video poker and a selection of slot and table games in Spain; Nearly 70 additional slot titles available in the Czech Republic and the offering of table games in Colombia. Play’n GO continue to be at the forefront of the industry in regards to both content quality and compliance controls. Head of Compliance Sissel Weitzhandler spoke about Play’n GO’s stance on the issue: “We are committed to being the strongest supplier in regulated markets. This approach is an integral part of our products and operations. We continuously strive to be even better at what we do not only seeing that our products adhere to the strictest standards while providing a great entertainment experience. We have a strong presence in regulated markets, and it’s growing continuously. Our goal is to expand even further in Europe and increase our presence in Latin America. Wherever we go, our partners can be certain to be fully compliant in those markets.”
- Play’n GO Scoop IGA Awards
Slot specialist Play’n GO were present at the International Gaming Awards last night as they picked up an award for their work in the industry over the last twelve months. The black-tie event, currently in its 12th year, took place at London’s infamous Savoy Hotel and brought together some of the biggest names in the industry under one roof to celebrate the excellence and achievement of suppliers, operators, casinos and more. Play’n GO were nominated for the Great Place to Work Award (Supplier), Mobile Product of the Year and Slot Provider of the Year and came away winners of the Slot Provider of the Year award amidst some heavy competition in the category. The award-winning supplier are expecting their biggest year yet in 2019 and last night’s success is surely a sign that it is coming to fruition. CEO Johan Törnqvist took some time to speak about the company after the win: “It’s an amazing feeling to have come away with this award! Everyone at Play’n GO works together to maintain and advance upon the quality and consistency we bring to all of our products. It is this teamwork and togetherness that allows us to thrive as a company and earns us awards like this.”
- Royal Casino.dk case study
After 28 years of operating land-based casino operations in Denmark, the RoyalCasino Group teamed up with experienced online execs and online casino RoyalCasino.dk was launched. Within just three years of launching, they became a significant online casino presence in the region outgrowing the platform they were on and needed to switch to a more stable and adaptable platform to ensure the right foundation for continued growth. The Problem Experiencing substantial growth in such a short amount of time, RoyalCasino.dk found that their current setup could not support their ambitions. They needed a platform partner who demonstrated the highest levels of stability and compliance, while also delivering integrations with the best solutions for business through an ongoing partnership where the quality of dialogue was core. The Solution Having worked with the Play’n GO casino platform through another operator in the past, our platform was at the forefront of their mind when looking for a partner to fulfil their needs. Ultimately, Play’n GO Platform Services turned out to be the best solution for RoyalCasino.dk. The added stability and adaptability of our platform, through our flexible micro-services model, gave RoyalCasino.dk the foundation that they needed to guarantee strong support for the growth of their operations. RoyalCasino.dk CEO Per Petersen highlighted the migration process itself as a major positive when working with Play’n GO Platform Services: “Migrating to the Play'n GO platform was quick, simple and on spec. What most impressed us was the detailed planning and preparation in the run-up to the migration itself, as well as the commitment of the Play’n GO Platform Services team, who worked tirelessly and in-sync with us. As a consequence, the migration itself was completed within a few hours with minimal impact to our business. True teamwork!” The Result The Play’n GO platform has helped augment RoyalCasino.dk and their online business considerably, since integration. Their online business continues to grow as focus and resources are now predominantly on growth activities rather than fire-fighting tech challenges. As a result, they’ve seen accelerated month on month growth which outpaces the growth prior to moving platform. “The Play’n GO platform has allowed us to solidify and strengthen our online operation, so we focus on commercial growth rather than fixing technical hurdles. This foundation will allow us to continue to grow while scaling up the platform needs, all at the highest levels of quality.”
- Play’n GO are going for Gold with Wild Falls
24th January, 2019 - Play’n GO announced their latest slot offering today with the release of the title Wild Falls. Set against the backdrop of the Klondike Gold Rush of the 19th Century the 5-reel slot uses the legendary Yukon River as a feature of the game to create an interesting twist on the standard slot format. Rather than having the slot’s Wild symbol, the Wooden Chest, land on the reel with each spin, players can actually follow them as they travel downriver, drop over the waterfall and then watch to see if they will land on the reel creating winning combinations and unlocking bonus features. This creative twist on the classic slot set up looks to be another feather in the cap of Play’n GO. The company continue to grow in reputation with their unique brand of entertainment, which led to them picking up Slot of the Year for Legacy of Egypt at the AskGamblers Awards last week; an accolade voted for by members of the public. CEO Johan Törnqvist believes that the unique stylings of this Play’n GO title will add a little something more to the player's slot experience: “We always try to offer something a little different with our games, whether it be a small twist on the typical format or something eye-catching like the visuals that Wild Falls provides. Knowing that the public themselves voted for one of our games as their slot of the year has shown us that our creativity is hitting the mark and we will continue to release entertaining and imaginative content for audiences to enjoy.” The company’s strong start to the year is gathering speed, and the industry will be paying close attention to the path they continue to forge for themselves throughout the year.
- From Strength to Strength: Our Platform is Thriving!
Last year was a great year for us in all areas of Play’n GO. While our games continued to thrive in the industry, our other products and services are also in the spotlight for their growth over the last 12 months, especially our casino platform. In 2018 our platform reached new heights both in its development and implementation, we integrated with a number of key partners in the market, and the success allowed us to build and develop a more adaptable, stability-focused platform by building on its strengths. The achievements of the year culminated in our nomination for best Casino Platform Supplier at this year’s EGR Nordics Awards this month, but that’s just the beginning for 2019. This year our platform will continue to grow and evolve as we complete our migration to a more flexible micro-services model and focus more on business tools for our clients. To better utilise our specialist knowledge and experience we’ll be establishing a team dedicated to focusing solely on optimising rewards, bonuses, loyalty systems and gamification in general; combining our industry-leading stability with innovative business development tools. In addition to this, we’re already hard at work introducing some new integrations to the platform, from Sportsbook and payment providers to the inclusion of no-account casino capabilities. - Star Joker Teach Players a Thing or Two!
Play’n GO announced their final game of the year today, with the release of Star Joker. Star Joker is a 5-reel slot based on the traditional slot machine gameplay and features classic slot symbols such as Cherries, Plums and Lucky 7’s. But the game also has an added dimension with an interactive tutorial that a player can activate to teach them how slot games work. The tutorial includes guidance on aspects of the slot such as how paylines work, how a player can change a bet, what a Wild symbol does and more. The tutorial provides a perfect opportunity to introduce new players to aspects of the game they may not fully understand and will aid in making informed choices when gaming. Star Joker combines a long-established style and look of a standard slot with an interactive element to provide the perfect introduction to gaming, whilst still providing entertainment for more experienced players. Johan Törnqvist, CEO of the successful supplier, reflected on how the game capped off a great year for the company: “This game is another quality addition to our portfolio, and the interactive element is a great way to teach players knowledge we may sometimes take for granted in this industry and will help players play responsibly. 2018 has been a great year for us; we have released a number of high-profile titles that have performed exceedingly well and, with it’s gameplay and interactive elements, this game will be no different. Now we look ahead to 2019 and even bigger challenges for us to conquer!”
- Latest Play’n GO Slot Battle Royal is a Royal Affair
Swedish supplier Play’n GO have unveiled their latest slot adventure today, entitled Battle Royal. The game is based upon the British Tudor monarch King Henry VIII, who was best known for having a succession of wives during his reign. Both Henry and his wives are the focus of this 5-reel game. The slot takes a humorous look at an infamous period in world history, pitting the wives in competition for the right to be called queen, with a unique Free Spin mode totally dedicated to them. Each of the wives must avoid the guillotines that randomly fall onto the reels during the free spins, but the unique factor of this mode is that, instead of winning a certain amount of free spins as is usual, the free spins are unlimited until all six of the wives have been caught by the guillotine. The slot also includes a bonus game, Long Live the King, where players have to guide King Henry to safety and away from the spirits of his vengeful wives. CEO Johan Törnqvist spoke of how the game was another strong title to cap a very successful year for Play’n GO: “We’ve had an amazing year this year, going from strength to strength. We are finishing 2018 as strongly as we started with the release of another creative game, that shows history in a fun and entertaining light.”
- Play’n GO Shine at SBC Awards
Play’n GO took home the gold last night with an award win at the SBC Awards ceremony held at The Artillery Garden at the HAC in London. The awards, now in its fifth year, were created to “recognise and reward expertise and innovation in the betting and gaming industries”, presenting awards to operators, affiliates and suppliers. Play’n GO picked up the award for Game Developer of the Year and the win follows hot on the heels of their success at the Malta Gaming awards last week, where they took home the trophy in the Games Vendor of the Year category. The company have picked up a number of wins for their games and development this year, solidifying their reputation as a force to be reckoned with, and one of the foremost suppliers in the gaming industry. CEO Johan Törnqvist felt that the win was a great signifier of the Play’n GO ethos, when it comes to their games: “Creating the best games is very important to us, and for our game development to receive this recognition, shows the industry that we are succeeding and standing by exactly what we promise to do. This rounds off what has been a very productive and successful year for us and I would like to thank everybody at Play’n GO for the hard work and dedication that made this possible. This will spur us on for 2019, which is going to be a very big year for us.” After receiving the prize Johan took a couple of seconds to speak on the honour of being recognised and how Play’n GO’s passion helped clinch the prize.
