19 February 2026 – Play’n GO unveils Sails of Riches, a cold-weather pirate tale that follows notorious privateer Klaus Störtebeker as he shadows the royal fleet across storm-lashed northern seas.

Far from palm trees and sun-bleached beaches, Sails of Riches takes players to sheer Nordic cliffs and midnight waters where a skull-marked ship waits just off the reels. Klaus Störtebeker and his crew close in on the crown’s treasure ships beneath a brooding sky, with maps, drums and chests surrounding the reels to frame this tense pursuit. Gold Coins glint against icy blues and purples, capturing the sense of a raid carried out in the narrow window between dusk and dawn.

Rather than romanticising pirate life, Sails of Riches leans into the harsher stories of the North Sea. The looming galleon on the horizon grows clearer as stolen coins arc through the air, while cannons line the deck ready to answer the crown’s guns. The focus is firmly on atmosphere – the creak of timber, the roll of dark water and the constant sense that the next haul could bring Klaus face to face with the royal fleet.

Sails of Riches creates a fresh IP for German and Scandinavian audiences, stepping away from the studio’s Egyptian sagas while echoing the tension and momentum that made Tomb of Gold II a success. Fans of story-driven pirate slots – a consistently popular theme thanks to its blend of treasure hunts and sea battles – will recognise the appeal of charting colder, rougher waters.

Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, said:

“With Sails of Riches we wanted a grittier pirate tale rooted in Northern folklore, while keeping the experience instantly readable for fans of narrative-led slots.”

Sails of Riches is set to resonate with anyone drawn to stormy seas, historical legends and richly crafted characters plotting against the crown.
